Next week we will close on the house!
We've been gathering boxes and slowly packing. I can't believe I am doing this again. It is a relief to know that this is the last time for a few years. Tomorrow I will drop off about 5 bags of clothes and other items for donation. I suppose the good thing about moving all the time is that you go through all your stuff and purge. I have parted with half my wardrobe. Now I must go through my shoe collection. Yikes!

We Have A House!
After 3 months of negotiating with builders and banks, we finally have a deal! The bank accepted our offer on the foreclosure. We're going to sign the papers in a few hours. I can't believe it happened. Now the real work begins. We will start packing up our current home and setting up appointments for all the work to be done on the new place once we close. December is going to be a very busy month especially since we are going to FL for 8 days right in the middle of the month. It will be worth it though, at least I hope so!

The Drama King
I was all set to post about my fabulous voting experience where I only waited in line for 2 minutes and then waited another 2 minutes for a booth to open up.
Then I got a call from my father.
He starts off by saying, "I've got a problem..." and the tone in his voice backed that up.
As usual, I'm thinking someone is either sick or dying.
I calmly ask what is the problem?
"Well. I got an ipod....Something is wrong....I got 21 songs on it and I don't know how to make them play. Well, I can make them play, but how do I pick which one I want to hear?"
So here I sit, mentally trying to imagine my own ipod without going in search of it.
I told him, you turn the wheel. Yeah. You just turn the wheel.
When he turns the wheel it adjusts the volume.
Ugh.
Then he tells me that he doesn't even know how he got those 21 songs on it to begin with.
I asked about the synching.
He thinks he might have done that.
I decide to break the news to him that it should not be this difficult. He's making it much harder than it really is.
He tells me that it isn't user friendly.
He then decides that trying to figure this out while driving home from work probably isn't going to help him.
He's calling me back when he gets home and can plug it into the computer.
Today I am a help desk.
From 3,000 miles away I must provide technical support to the new technology challenged.
